A story about evolution, softness, strength, and choosing yourself.
There was a time when I thought my body had to stay the same to be worthy.
The same size.
The same shape.
The same version of “beautiful” I was taught to chase.
But life doesn’t keep us the same.
Life stretches us, softens us, breaks us open, rebuilds us, and asks us to grow in ways we never expected.
My body has changed with every chapter —
through stress, through heartbreak, through healing, through survival, through rebuilding myself from the inside out.
And for a long time, I thought those changes made me less beautiful.
But now I understand something deeper:
My body is not a before or after. It’s a timeline.
Every curve, every mark, every soft place is a record of what I’ve lived through.
It reflects my healing.
It reflects my strength.
It reflects the woman I’ve become.
And that’s why the Maxim Cover Girl competition requiring natural photos is so powerful.
No filters.
No smoothing.
No pretending.
Just me — at this stage, in this season, in this body.
I’m learning to love myself here.
Not when I lose weight.
Not when I “fix” something.
Not when I meet someone else’s standard.
Here. Now. As I am.
