Grounds of Hope Coffee Co.’s intentions are to not only serve a cup of coffee, but to create a space where comfort, dignity, and community care come together. What we’re building is more than a café — it’s a dream rooted in hope, shaped by lived experience, and guided by the belief that everyone deserves warmth, nourishment, and a place to belong.

As a lifelong CTA rider, I understand the rhythm of Chicago — the early mornings, long commutes, and the movement that connects our neighborhoods. That’s why our future home near the 95th/Dan Ryan Red Line holds so much meaning for this mission. It’s a powerful crossroads where students, workers, families, and neighbors meet every day, and it represents the heart of the community we aim to serve. Grounds of Hope Coffee Co. will also fund something bigger — our nonprofit, Grounds of Hope Community Care. A percentage of the café’s revenue will support our long‑term vision to serve individuals experiencing severe homelessness through a 24‑hour meal service and essential‑item distribution program for infants, children, women, and adult men. Our goal is to build a place where anyone, at any hour, can find nourishment, support, and a sense of belonging.

Our menu reflects that same spirit of care. With cozy, southern‑inspired flavors and options for different tastes and lifestyles, we’re creating a space where food and comfort meet. A place where hope is served in many forms — in a cup, on a plate, and through community support.
